What this course is about and how to succeed
Welcome to the Wedding Photography course. My name is Will Carnahan and I will be your instructor. We are gonna talk about everything. Wedding photography. I wanna make sure you do a couple things to help you succeed with this course, you as a student should be doing these two things and I think it's gonna help big time as you go through the lectures in this course. The first thing is taking notes. I know that seems incredibly archaic, but taking notes is such a good way to help reinforce what I am saying in your brain. You may not ever go back to those notes. You may not ever refer to them or maybe you will. But the simple act of writing things down as I'm talking will help reinforce those things in your brain and it'll help you get the most out of this course. The second thing is practice, practice taking photos, practice taking photos of your friends, practice taking photos of your family, of your partner, of even your pets. The more experience you get with your camera and your syst...
em, the easier it's gonna be when you go out and shoot a wedding, it's just going to be simple and you gotta know your camera backwards and forwards without even thinking about it. During wedding photography, we will find out that moments happen like that. And if you can't adjust quickly, you will lose that moment. So knowing your camera backwards and forwards is such a big thing in wedding photography. So practice, practice, practice, practice, practice. This skill set is a serious thing. You can take these and you can build a living off of it. You can take these skills and you can build an entire career off it. So there's no reason not to take this seriously. It is going to be so helpful for you to follow the dream of being a wedding photographer.
