Camera Raw: Red-Eye Removal
we all have those photos of portraits. Maybe we shot with a pop up flash or something and we have red eye in our subject's eyes or maybe even with your pets, you've got some green eye or white or whatever. You know some weird creepy eyes. And so what we're gonna do is look at how to fix that. So we're gonna go here into Photoshop and click open and then we're going to scroll down and I have an image here called red eye. It's a raw file so it will open up immediately, interrupt. Now this file is here for some extra credit. It's got color temperature problems that needs some retouching. This is an image that you have in your class files to do some extra work on later at the end of this class to sort of practice your skills. But right now what we want to do is we want to fix the red eye. So what I wanna do is go here and zoom into 100% and use my hand tool to see. Yeah, for sure. Sam has really crazy red eyes. Want to zoom way in, we can see that's an issue. All we have to do is go over h...
ere to the right hand side, we have the red eye removal tool and then um there are different adjustments here. You can change the pupil size, I'm gonna put that a little bit larger maybe about 90. And then we can change how much we want to darken that. So I'm just gonna choose 80. So I'm just choosing things sort of at random here and then I'm gonna drag this over her eye and bam oh that's fixed, drag it over this, I fam Oh that's fixed. So if I take that overlay off, you can see immediately, here's the before, so there's the before and after red eye and no red eye, red eye and no red eye, and that's all there is to it. You can fix that now. If you have a pet and you have something, you can go in here and click pet I and so pets eyes reflect different colors. And so you would choose that if you're trying to fix any kind of image problems that you have in the eyes of an animal, that's all there is to it. Red eye reduction.

Mark did a great job at explaining things and going over them multiple times throughout the lessons. My only issue was that sometimes it went a little faster than I could keep up and I needed to rewind it a bit and start again. But from someone who has never worked in photoshop before I 100% recommend this class to anyone trying to learn.
