Photoshop Preferences
let's talk about ways that you can customize Photoshop to work exactly the way that you needed to work. The most basic way to do that is through Photoshop preferences. And so to do that, just go to Photoshop preferences or file preferences on a pc and then we're gonna go to general Now there are tons of different things that you can change here. You can change the way the interface looks. So I've got mine set to a dark theme, you can go to a lighter or much wider, that changes everything. You can change how your workspaces work, you can change how your tools work. So earlier we talked about showing rich tool tips. I shut that off because I didn't want those to be showing up over and over. You can do all kinds of things Now, these things are probably things that you're going to be changing as you become more proficient with Photoshop. But the nice thing to know is that they're always there, that you can turn things on or off. And sometimes if you don't see something that you want to be ...
working on, you just have to go in here to preferences and then choose the section that you want to work with and then click on that. So perhaps I want to change the way I export my images from PNG files to jpeg file. I could set that up there. You might want to look through each of these different pages here to see all of the different things that you can customize using Photoshop preferences. Now, you can not only change the preferences of Photoshop, but you can also prioritize and change the way that keyboard shortcut works. And so we're going to look at those next.

Katie
Mark did a great job at explaining things and going over them multiple times throughout the lessons. My only issue was that sometimes it went a little faster than I could keep up and I needed to rewind it a bit and start again. But from someone who has never worked in photoshop before I 100% recommend this class to anyone trying to learn.
