Getting Additional Help
before we get to workspaces, Let me show you something that's really helpful for beginning users of Photoshop. That's the built in help files. And so if we go to any tool over here on the left and just hover over that, you're going to see a little tutorial that shows exactly what that tool is and what it does. And if you're not sure exactly how to use it, you can click learn more and then you're going to see all the steps of how to use whatever tool that is. So all of these tools over here on the left hand side have that by default. If you don't see these popping up, go to Photoshop preferences tools and then make sure you say show rich tool tips, make sure that is turned on to see those. If you're on a pc, it's file preferences tools and you can turn that on or off. And then there's more features here to help you out. There's the help menu, so you can just type in something to say, how do I do something? So you might say layers. And so it will show you all the different layer menus, y...
ou can get help on layers or whatever topic you're looking for. And then the other thing you can do is go to the home page and at the very top of the screen you can see that there are a bunch of tutorials there, so you can click on browse tutorials and there are many, many tutorials that are built right into Photoshop. And so if you've lost your way and you're trying to figure out exactly what a tool does, just hover over it, and you most likely will see a little bit of help to give you some basic tips on to do what that thing is. Okay, now let's go and look at workspaces.

Katie
Mark did a great job at explaining things and going over them multiple times throughout the lessons. My only issue was that sometimes it went a little faster than I could keep up and I needed to rewind it a bit and start again. But from someone who has never worked in photoshop before I 100% recommend this class to anyone trying to learn.
