Basic Menu Navigation
Okay folks we've gone through the outside of the camera it is now time to dive to the inside with the menu system and so we're gonna be going through the menu in its entirety because there's a lot of things that you should know about because every once in a while there's something very important that you're going to want to come back to all right so in the menu system it is obviously accessed by the menu button on the back left of the camera and it is broken into pretty logical different tabs of information shooting playback set up and then my menu where you get to actually collect items and have your favorites stored in one simple to find locations and so to navigate your way through the menu system you're going to be using either the top dial or the dial's or the control up down left right controls on the back of the camera and so what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and just simply start off at the beginning of the menu but one thing to know before we dive into that I g...
uess is that it depends on what mowed your camera is in as to how many menu items you can access in the more automated modes the basic menu system is available to you if you use one of the more manual modes anywhere from manual to program you're going to be able to get into the entire menu system and that's, where you're going to want to have your camera set as we go through this class. And then finally, there is what I'd like to call a secret menu that you confined by only going to the movie mode in your camera, which will access to special tabs that you will not see otherwise. And so we will be covering all of these. So on your camera, I would set it anywhere from manual to program. And then we can dive into our menu system, and we're going to start looking at things on our camera.

Feeling pretty good about my T6s purchase! John's teaching style was fabulous, and I am left feeling pretty confident and a lot less overwhelmed!

Great Class! John Greengo is an amazing teacher. I have a t6i for like 6 months and this class helped me a lot. Totally worth the money!
a Creativelive Student
As a student of John's for the past 2 years with the Fundamentals of Photography, the Nikon D3300 and D5500, I recently traded my Nikon D3300 for the Canon EOS Rebel T6i. As always, the training was superb, easy to understand, and I feel better in being able to use a digital camera. The reason for the switch in manufacturers was because of the ease of use of the Canon. I look forward to referring back to the lessons if I need a refresher course. Thank you, John. Your teaching is starting to click, finally.
