The color of this menu screen that you work with, you can adjust. How that works. And there's all different colors, depending on what color you like to work with. I prefer the very standard colors. But if you like something different and you want to have a different look to your camera, you can most certainly do that. The feature guide. Okay, so as you go through the quick man, you, you might have seen this pop up earlier when I was trying to make some settings in my camera and as an experienced user, these things drive me nuts there help windows, but they block out the information that I want to look at. So when you first have your camera, this might be nice to turn on just to have a little bit of helpful tips about what does this do? Um, what does that d'oh? The problem is, is that once you know what they do, you don't need this help guy coming up asking you every time what you want to do for anyone who remembers the old days of microsoft, they had a paperclip that popped up, tried t...
o help you out about what you're doing, and it was more hassle than it was worth once you got to know what you were doing. And so for the more advanced users, I think you're just gonna want to disable this most of the time. Touch control. Do you want to be able to use the touch screen on the back of the camera? I think a lot of people like this as an option. I'm not a big fan of touch screens, but I do find him handy from time to time. So I have no problem leaving this enabled. I'm at. Let's. Go to a manual mode where I can actually make some changes with my shutter speed. My aperture, my s o very quick, simple settings. Very nice. If you're working on a tripod and your cameras up higher, where you have the camera using the flip out screen, and you're in an unusual position. It's a great place to see all this information, and when you don't need it, you can turn it off just like that. So cycle through the information by pressing the infobahn. All right, next up. Video system. This is mostly determined by where you live here in the united states. In north america, we used the ntsc system over in europe. In most of the countries, they're going to be using a pal system. It's going to probably be a little bit dependent on where you get your camera. Chances are, if you are in some far flung country, from where we're recording this it's going to come, set to the right standard for the type of tv's that you use there.

As a student of John's for the past 2 years with the Fundamentals of Photography, the Nikon D3300 and D5500, I recently traded my Nikon D3300 for the Canon EOS Rebel T6i.
