Playback Options
Let's talk a little bit about the playback of your images so if you want to play back an image there is a blue playback button there are other buttons that are related to play back that you'll notice are also in blue on your camera kind of their color coding to let you know it has something to do with playback so when you play back an image you can always hit the info form or or less information you remember you can always hit the info form or or less information that never harms anything and so we have a lot of information that we can actually scroll through that shows us what lens we used what settings we had on our camera what menu options we've had turned on or turned off in our camera and so using that up down or the scroll bar to navigate through is just another option for seeing additional information if you don't want the image you can always hit the garbage can to delete the image and if we want to zoom in on the image we can zoom in and check the sharpness of that image one o...
f the other things that we can do is if we want to jump through our images very quickly we can use the front dial to jump ten images so let me do a quick little demo on this to show you so we're going to go ahead and play back and there's. Our last image. It's. A really dark image. And so if we want to go back, we can go back now. We took, ah, bunch of photos way earlier, and I want to go way back. So I'm going to jump back ten images at a time until we get to one of these earlier images. I'm looking for an image that's, fairly sharp in here. Let's, go all the way back. Let's let's let's just take this image here so we're going to play back this image now what I can do is I can go up here in the right hand corner there's a plus and a minus and I'm going to hit the plus and plus plus plus plus and I can use the up down controller in the back or I can zoom in and I can see that you know I didn't really hit the focus on this one what 00:01:58.003 --> 00:02:01. was I focusing on let's try a different voto so I'm 00:02:01.04 --> 00:02:03. going to turn the top dial and here we got some nice 00:02:03.96 --> 00:02:04. focus look at that 00:02:06.12 --> 00:02:08. and so I can bring it back out 00:02:10.02 --> 00:02:11. I play it back it doesn't say plus one in here or here or here or here because I was in manual exposure normally we would show if I was an aperture priority will do aperture value here and I'll dial in a plus one take a photo in this case, it's going to say, plus one. And so it depends on which motorin. My guess is that they were in manual. And like I said, the most important thing about exposure compensation is reset it back to zero, so I am going to do that, I think that's it, oh, no, there's, more there's, more. We can hit the cue button and get into the quick menu, and we can do all sorts of things we can play games with our cameras just about, and so we can go in here, and we can crop are images, we can give him ratings, we can rotate him, we could add filters onto our subjects, we can resize them, so let's do that real quickly on an image. So let me go ahead and hit, play back and let's, find an image. One of our more recent images, lips and let's, say, I'm going to see if I can find that shot wait, where's, that shot of kenna. Well, let's, just take this shot here because we didn't really fill the frame with this let's, go here. We're going to hit the cue button and let's say this image is an image that we kind of like. We can hit the stars and we can give it two stars, and if we wanted to crop this image let's, go to crop up here, cropping this image, we can go ahead and crop this image. We hit the set button to crop and let's see, I'm gonna zoom in a little bit because I want this a little bit tighter need to get this a little bit off to the left and up here, that's my new crop, you can see my crop frame in there. I mean, get this lined up for your camera a little bit better, and so now I'm going to hit the set button and do we want to save this as a new file? Ok, well, say that is a new file image saved in folder, ok, that's fine, and so now we have. And see if it'll play back that image that I just cropped looks like it saved it with a different file number under a different location and so you can go in and you can pull up additional information if you want to see what focusing points were active or making some adjustments to your images you could do this to be honest folks I pretty much never do this I just shoot this stuff as I wanted in the camera I'm going to take it I'm going to download it and I'm gonna work on it but you know if you're waiting for an airplane and you got a couple hours to kill and you want to work with your images you can play around a little bit one thing to note is that you cannot damage your photos doing this you can make duplicate copies that have effects and things done to them but you are not damaging the original photo yes jenna did have another question that several people were curious about is there a way to delete multiple pictures or can this camera only do one at a time so there's a couple different ways that you can delete image is obviously you can let's go ahead and correct demo if we don't like this image we can hit garbage can head overto a race and said his race in the playback mode that's all you khun dio there is a mode that we will get to in the menu under the race images, so under playback and down any race. And now we can select any race images. We can choose all the images in the folder, or we can say, I want to erase that image, not that one, but this one, and this one and these, they're all looking similar, so I'm so I want to get rid of this one, not that one, not that one. This one I want to get rid of and this one, and then I can hit garbage and it's going to erase those select images. So, yes, we can choose. And if you do know that you're going to go through and select a lot of individual images, I would recommend doing this playback mode because it's a lot easier, there's, less button pressing in order to do that.
