Music Visualizers with After Effects

Hi in this lecture. I'm just going to quickly explain how you can use after effects templates to create audio visualizer for your music. So this is not a tutorial about after effects after effects is a very complex application. And to be honest, I only really know the basics. What you can do though is buy a template from a site like video. Hi and then just edit the template. It's actually not that difficult to create this from scratch. I imagine it'd be quite hard. You'd probably have to know a lot about after effects. I don't really know too much about after effects, but I do know the basics and a lot of these templates do have tutorials as well. So I'm just going to show you what the emerald result actually looked like. So if I fast forward here, you can see when the kick drum plays, you can see it appear on this visualizer and you can also see the other elements of the song appear in this visualizer. So this can be useful for video sites such as youtube just to make your tracks look...

a bit more interesting rather than just having a still image. So this is a site called video hive. It's part of Envato and all you need to do is just search for visualizer and there's quite a few different ones to choose from. And if we hover over one of these, you'll get a quick preview of what this will actually look like. Audio jungle. So some quite interesting ones like this, one of these small animals, but that looks pretty complex, but like a lot of these visualizer, it will come with instructions. So obviously, the music is not included, video tutorial included. So we'll need after effects, it will tell you which version of after effects you'll need this one here. You'll need CS six and above and on the side, you can see where it was last updated and what after effects versions is compatible with CC 2018, 2017, 2016, 1514 and CS six. And like I said, most of these welcome a video tutorials. So it'll show you in these tutorials what you need to do. So here it says how to find comps and replace audio, how to extend duration, how to change colors, how to change particles, how to change text and add logo and how to render. This is really useful. Actually, I wouldn't know how to do any of these without the video tutorials. So all I really did is just follow the video tutorials on here and just put in my own logo. You can see if I can drag it around. You can see this is the original one, the audio spectrum music visualizer and you can just change certain elements. This is not a tutorial for acro effects. If you do want to use a music visualizer, I do recommend going on to video hive. Video hive.net is part of invar market and just searching for visualizer and then purchase one of these visualizer. Choose the one that's most suitable for your track and then just go through and follow the tutorials after effects is a very complex piece of software. But with these templates, you can go through and quickly create visualizers for your music, you can replace the music for your own. You can change the color scheme, you can add your logos and then you can render this and upload it to a video platform such as youtube. So thank you for watching this lecture. I hope you found it useful. It was all about music visualizer and how you can find the templates and create professional looking visualizers for your music that isn't actually that difficult to create. So thank you again for watching and I'll see you in the next lecture.
