Choose an Objective
The next step is to select an objective. Where do you want the promotion to send people? Here are your three options in the instagram app, your profile, your website or your storefront. As with anything you do, it's important that you work with your client to choose a goal so that you have a measurable outcome for your promotion and your efforts. You can think of these three goals as matching the three stages of the marketing funnel, awareness, consideration and conversion. If your client is a new business and wants to build awareness or grow followers, send people to the profile. If your client is looking to strengthen engagement with their audience in the consideration phase, drive traffic to the website so they can learn more about the client's business or perhaps get more comments and likes on content. If your client is looking to get folks to convert to their business, you can either drive traffic to the website to make a purchase if they're an e commerce company or into the store...
front. If the client is has an actual brick and mortar location, the next level would be to utilize all three of these so you can capture customers on each stage of their journey and move them down the funnel. We'll talk about that more later
