effects is another one of those go to panels. I used it on pretty much every single shot I use. I shoot. Excuse me. Um, it doesn't quite make it out of focus. Shot become clear, but it certainly helps with the image fidelity. So let's take a look at this. You've got texture, clarity and d hes. Which of the three main items that I use And if you look at this flower you could see before didn't have much detail, and then after you have a lot more detail, the full slider is this texture, clarity D haze. You can see that with the highlights. You can also add grain in this if you need it. I have to tell you, I only do this on files before I print them on a printing press. So let's take a look at some of the advantages to using this. It really brings out detail. If you see the before and after, you can see how much I don't know information and richness. Even the color got richer using these sliders. So let's take a look. So here is the Paris stairway, and I'm going to slide over to my effects...
button. And when you go to the effects button, the first one I tend to do is clarity, which will start giving a mawr. Do you see that look at the highlights are getting lighter. Do you see that? Great. Then I'll go to texture and the texture. I'm gonna swing a little too far. You can see it starts looking grittier, which is what I'm looking for now. D. Hayes is pretty amazing. D. Hayes is almost like a polarizing filter or a contrast filter. So I'm gonna go ahead and bump up the D A's and look how rich it gets. But there's something really important here when when you use D hes almost always, you're gonna have to go back to your lights and slide over to the shadows and bring up the shadows, because when you use the d, hes, the blacks will often block up. And while I'm in the lights panel, I think I might just go ahead and bring the highlights down a little bit. And let's go back to our image before and after. Look how much better that looks already with just a couple slides of a few sliders, all right. It's also great for Landscape. So let's take a look at this landscape shot. So again, it's a little little flat looking. I'm gonna go to the effects and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna slide up the clarity and then I'm gonna slide up the texture and then I'm gonna go ahead and slide up that d hes again Now the d A's Oh, it's doing something nice in the sky So let me go back to the light And what I want to remind you is when you're using the effects filter, your often gonna have to use the light module as well. So here I am, sliding up the shadows, sliding of the shadows and then once again, maybe sliding down the highlights Now, sometimes when I used the d, hes gonna go back to the D A's and slide it even further. Sometimes the image gets a little dark and I'll go back to the light and also bump up the exposure. Okay, so and drop the highlights down. Let's take a look and see what we have before and after. That's a pretty big difference. So once again, pretty easy to use this slider. It's also easy toe overuse this slider, So please be careful and don't overuse it. But what you want to do is bump up the clarity and texture and probably the D. A's and be very attentive that if you're bumping up the d hes, you're gonna need to go back to the light panel and bump up your shadows.

Lisa, your classes are wonderful and inspiring. Even though I already have a fancy DSLR, I love experimenting with mobile photography and have just been getting into using Lightroom a lot on my mobile devices. There were many cool ideas in this course that I wasn't aware of. I'd highly recommend it to others interested interested in creative mobile photography. Thank you so much for providing the slides as a pdf download - they are thorough, well organized and easy to reference when it isn't convenient to open a video file.
