Qualitative Content Audit

last but not least. You need to show your clients what kind of content your competitors are creating. What features do they add to their page that make them unique? How do they stand out? Maybe it's copy, maybe it's images. The process for a qualitative assessment is really straightforward, but I wanted to point out one tool that makes this really easy. It's called full page checker. It allows you to take a pdf of an entire page in one shot without having to scroll through, which will allow you to easily mark up each feature on the page where the title tag is, where there are images. Is there a carousel or call it action. This is really important in terms of planning the kind of content you create with your clients. So first off notice that they have an expert reviewing the content and it was recently reviewed. Um, so that's something that we may want to have next you see here that they have anchors that anchor you down the page. You can see there's a lot of links, a lot of sections th...

at like this. I think this is an H2 tag. Let's check it out by going control, click inspect and it will tell us what kind of tag this piece of copy, how this piece of copy is tagged. Yes, this is an H two. Okay, so a lot of H two s on their page that talk about the symptoms and everything about strep throat and so we want to try to tag our page up like that as well. Let's see what else they have. There's a lot of ads and a lot of internal links. Okay, so now you can make note of this if you'd like just in a spreadsheet and put these kind of elements in your SEO research spreadsheet when you're talking about creating a new page. What I like to do is take a full screen shot of this page and just annotate the sections that I think are important for the designer and a great tool for that is called full page screen capture. And all you do is click on it. Once you download it to chrome, it will scroll down the page and catch everything. So you don't just have to like take a picture and scroll and take a picture and scroll. And then in the end it's going to give you a pdf and you can mark that up inside this app or take it to another photo editing app, maybe max preview and make annotations there, Do this for the top five sites and note the similarities and then that's enough for you to figure out what kind of elements should be on this page. Also, since this is a single page, note that you can just, you know, copy all of the content, throw it into word word doc or google doc and you know, you can figure out how many words are on that page. There's another process to do this, which I'll show you later after we do the content inventory, check and this is the process to do things at scale. Let's see here, you have it, the whole page captured and that's our qualitative content on it.
