6 Types of Figureheads
a common question we get is who do I put in the topic? Well who do you start with? You might not know, Richard Branson or the head of another nation. Just start with people that you know that are high authority that have a lot of knowledge and a topic that you care about. It could be a small business owner of a store that you really like. It could be the founder or ceo of another company. It could be an employee. They don't have to be someone famous. Just someone who's got a great story. It could be a partner of yours. They don't even have to work for you. It could be a subject matter expert of a friend of a friend. Maybe you play golf with them. Maybe it's someone you can get an introduction to. These are all examples of figureheads that you can put into your topic wheel and let's just say for example, well I don't really know anybody. I don't really have a network. I'm sort of an introverted sort of person. I don't I'm not out there constantly building my network. Okay, start with yo...
ur local city council person. They're not going to turn down an interview. All you need to do is say Miss Michelle Fiore, who's the mayor Pro TEM of las Vegas. Would you have five minutes where I can interview you for my podcast and of course they're gonna say yes to that. So it's very easy to get started and as you're doing that you're going to get better and better skills and being able to interview. You don't want to have your first video interview be with Tony Robbins or to be on tv. That's not a good look. You want to start to get practice. So as you start to get bigger opportunities these small opportunities lead to medium opportunities lead to larger opportunities. Your ability to build relationships to be able to speak on camera will get better and better and you will overcome those fears of public speaking to where a lot of these things that used to scare you. You're going to find her actually a lot of fun.
