Using Fiverr to Build Your Personal Brand
congratulations on making it to the end of our personal branding course. I hope you've enjoyed our conversation together. Talking about strategy as well as the onscreen walk throughs on how you can complete these tasks yourself. I want to go a little bit deeper into how we use fiber to be able to get these particular items done when I first started on five or seven years ago, I was trying to do a lot of this work by myself and granted I figure you know what, I'm not going to pay anybody, I can learn this stuff and do it myself. I can just google it and watch youtube videos. Where am I going to pay anybody? They're not gonna do it as well as me. And then I realized, you know, some of this stuff, I just don't want to learn how to do. I don't want to mess around with things like video editing, who wants to do that right? Some people do. And if you want to take a course on that, that's great. I don't want to build websites anymore. I've not built websites for 20 years. I built my first web...
site just over 30 years ago. I found that if you have the right structure of what you need done, let's say a checklist of particular tasks, you can assign people to do any one of those items in that particular checklist. But even if you have the most talented people, if you don't have the right order and structure the blueprint. If you will of your house, you're not going to be able to build the right house, you're the architect and building your personal brand and by following the particular structure that we've laid out together in this personal branding framework, you can start to allocate the workers on your house or the people in your factory if you want to use another analogy as you start to separate yourself from your business and the operations of building your personal brand and generating cash, you realize that what you really need is a strong system to be able to run your personal brand because you can't do everything. I found that I couldn't do everything. I thought I was so proud because I could hustle and work 14 hours per day and someone else would say, oh yeah, well I worked hours and I had a conference call with London and I did crossfit in the morning before eight a.m. Even and I found that that was a losing strategy And most of us as entrepreneurs, especially small business owners, there's just a limit to how hard we can work. If you're just starting your personal brand, you may find that the gigs, you want to buy our simple items such as designing a logo or editing a one minute video or setting up a simple landing page and then you're going to start to progress towards things that require a little bit more effort and I've shown you items that are simple here and building the basics of your personal brand all the way to things that require a few more pieces of content and sophistication for example, to be able to edit a podcast or to be able to design an infographic because you need a lot of content to be able to publish against that as you start to have higher and higher authority pieces of content inside your content library that unlocks more complex items that you can have done. Think of fiber as a baseline for all the things that you want to have done up until the point where you need in house full time resources and what I initially thought fiber was was little things that were done by folks that were offshore but didn't realize that because of fiber pro and because of the different levels that are there, I could actually take it all the way up to the point of having an actual agency that is executing a range of tasks where there's a project manager who's able to translate my requirements, translate the framework of my personal brand into this entire execution and that way I can focus on what I need to do as an entrepreneur and my network and the things that I'm good at and not have to worry so much about the mechanics of websites and pixels and video editing and if you want to learn how to do video editing and facebook ads, you know, we have a course on that too. But if you don't want to learn that's perfectly okay, just understand that as part of the framework, you still need to get all these items done. You just have to decide whether it's something that you want to do or whether it's something that you delegate out. So the more complex something is, the more you need it on an ongoing basis, the more likely you're gonna need someone in house that's able to work on your stuff such as a virtual assistant from online jobs dot ph that's able to do this on an ongoing basis. So think about the continuum of tasks that you need one off, Two things that you need on an ongoing basis and you can see that fiber actually has that whole continuum so that even if you're just getting started at $5 per task like I was a long time ago to where you have enough of a business and enough ongoing work that you need someone full time that can actually accommodate the entire spectrum for you. That's why fiber is the Uber of marketing but can also stand in as your agency and if you're an agency like we are too, you can still outsource the fiber. So either way it's friendly, thank you so much for taking this course. I hope you unlock a ton of value in building your personal brand and thank you so much fiber friends for spending time with me. It is such an honor to be able to share all the things that I know the mistakes that I have made. So hopefully you can learn from them. Thank you so much.
