Repurposing Content Systematically
let's talk about writing a book, starting a podcast or maybe having a Youtube channel. A lot of people hit me up saying that they want to do the podcast because everyone else is doing podcasts and that's the hot thing to do or they want to write a book because all their friends have a book and having a book is necessary to be a public figure and then you're respected. All of these different forms of long form content are actually already the same thing and I want to share with you one little trick that's going to give you 80% of the value, give you 80% of the work already done for you. And that's this when you've gone through all the items that we've talked about in assembling your topics And your network and interviewing other people to strengthen your topic wheel and cut those into one minute videos that you can repurpose and building the re marketing and turn into articles and blog posts and memes and snippets and tweets, you're already 80% of the way there towards that long piece o...
f content like that book or the podcast or the Youtube channel. Why is it? Because if you take all the content that's in your topic wheel and then you transcribe it through Fiverr gigs, you've already written the chapters of your book, You can take your six topics and turn them into six chapters where everything is already written and this is not cheating because people that write books? Think about your favorite celebrity that's written a book. Do you think they really sat down and wrote 200 pages of a book. What they did was they spoke to a camera or they were interviewed by someone else and then that was transcribed and turned into books. Or Mark Cuban who is a friend of mine, he has a book on how to succeed as an entrepreneur. Do you think he wrote another book? No, if you read the intro, it says these are just blog posts from blog maverick that we have just turned into a book format. I have several friends where they've taken their last year of posts on Facebook and every one of those turned into a chapter. So they have 365 chapters that are now a book I think certainly should put in a little bit more effort than just grabbing all the posts that you've done on linkedin or twitter and then calling that a book, when you understand that you can reuse your content if it's structured into a topic wheel and turn it into a book or articles or any other form of content. All of a sudden you've got shrimp creole fried shrimp, shrimp and lobster shrimp fettuccine, right? You guys remember forrest gump, you've already done most of the work and that's the beauty of the power of the topic well and using this personal brand framework. And when you realize that the power of the personal brand framework is to have 90% of that nitty gritty already done for you, then you realize you get leverage because that 10% where you're putting your time in creating content and interviewing other people and building your network, that's where you get that power, and that's where this personal branding framework is going to create amazing power for you.
