Connection with Family

(mumbles) (mumbles) (background chatter) (laughs) (mumbles) Okay. (mumbles) Because what happens if you do that, front and back becomes one. And it makes it look bigger. That's my problem. You always (mumbles). And it's not a good look. Always chest forward, yeah. Even arms sideways like this (mumbles). So it's relaxing. Chin up a bit, dip forward if you want. I usually (mumbles) so you can look tall. Just chin up but dip forward for the camera. Like that, don't always (mumbles). Always push forward with the knee. Like that, so that way you look (mumbles). That way you have no problem. That's awesome. (laughs) You will look amazing, once you keep this in mind. When you walk in the church, try to keep it all together. Okay. See that's a very important moment, the family. The grandmother who's there, she's make her feel she's it's a great day, I'm gonna make your day good. The bridesmaids, you know it's so important to explain them look girls, don't do this, don't put you...

r shoulder into the camera. Have chest forward, your arm on the side so give to you if you're wearing that tight dress, push your knee forward so you look gorgeous and sexy. If I instruct the girls from the start, you see how interested they were, they wanted to look amazing in the picture and I was instructing them. And one of the girl was slightly big, gorgeous girl but I needed her to look great and that was the girl who has the most confident. She was always in front of the thing because I told her what to do. So she was out there and she was doing a great job. So I will always make sure girls I'm not gonna take bad pictures of you. But to help me, do this, you know. That's why I like the people to move. If you move and stop, you naturally stop the way you are. So I don't pause anymore. I'm gonna show you later on with the model. So move and capture, you see that's why I'm having everyone moving, continuously moving. I never make them stand there look at the camera. I never touch my clients unless they hug me, I will take hugs. But it's important the girl feels good. It's important that I capture, with the guys it's very easy. With the guys they have a suit, the rougher they look the better it is. But with the girls, every girl should look like an angel. And that's what my business is all about. I want them to look an angel and a bit of sexy also will work, but always gorgeousness. So I always instruct the girls, look at me in the church, "is this alright?" and I say perfect, just keep on doing it. So I want them to look amazing. So if you instruct them, they're gonna do right. Ask them to hold the flower, just on the waist, so you can see the dress, the curve of the body and walk gracefully, the bride, don't look down, trust your father, he's gonna walk you in. Sometime the father goes in the arm of the bride and pushes the bride in, that's not how it's done. The bride goes in the arm and follows the father. So bride look out, look around, look happy. I'm gonna get gorgeous pictures. So a bit of direction but to make it better, that's all.

I am SO grateful to CreativeLive as well as Yervant for taking the time to put on this class. So many times while sitting in this class I thought to myself "what have I been thinking?!" I have so much to learn! I loved hearing about Yervant's process for creating images, but what inspired me even more was his advice on how to view, and treat yourself as a professional. I completely agree when he said photographers are creative but we are "terrible business people." But I aim to change this in my business from this point forward, thanks to this class! Yervant's advice on how to value, protect, and sell your art is priceless. I have always valued printing and creating products clients can hold, but I don't think I understood the real emotional value in it until this class. When he pulls those images we just watched him create for the last two days, off of that printer, and they are there before our eyes, I had an emotional reaction to it. I want my clients to experience the same, so I must value it and create opportunities to educate my clients. Thanks for the kick in the pants that we all needed Yervant! And I hope this will not be the last time I get to experience your education in my life. I said this many times to other students during the class, but I will say it again here, I want to carry a mini Yervant with me every where I go! Thank you Creative Live and thank you Yervant!

Yervant’s ardent love for wedding photography and capturing his brides in their best light is unquestionable. His love for this photography community and his regard for our respect in the world hierarchy is without reservation. Yervant’s willingness to share his knowledge and skill for all these things to come together is beyond generous. These are some of the things that help Yervant to effortlessly stand out as a photography master and this is exactly what this class is about… plain and simple.
