This one. Keep it there, don't move, don't move, that's it. Yeah, that's great, Dani, light is beautiful. Yeah, that's nice, point it all the way, that's it. Hold on, hold on, that's it and more, Dani. Point it, that's it, perfect. Stay there, Dani. Let me do this just one. Okay, looks good. Aw, they're gonna make me dance, I don't wanna dance. Take a few more steps, go on. I'll work with anything I want. No! Yes. That's it. No, don't do that. Just walking down the steps. Yeah, walking down the steps, very graceful, kicking your feet forward. That's it. Okay, I'm a bit bored now of that photo subject but who cares? At the end of the day, if I deliver, that's what counts. When the girl spends $2,000 on the shoes, you better take a picture of the shoes. So I told her instead of taking a picture of the shoes on a table and commercial photography, I much rather her play with the shoes and you will see in the album a series of shoe shots of Dani and Chris coming into the picture to ...
complement her. You know, just pictures walking out. It doesn't look that interesting in the video but I'm at the right angle, I'm capturing her, you know, it's a real moment. Look at it. Her feet moving, her face look uping, look up because I'm telling her to look up and that's a shot. You know. We have some questions about that actually because you were kind of giving her some direction. Melissa asks, this is bride is quite stunning and takes direction naturally. How do you work with brides that may not be so natural as models and struggle with body placement direction and do you use more traditional poses in that case? Okay, very good question. Everyone asks me this question. How come you have so beautiful brides? How come you have, believe me, all my brides are real pretty. Even Dani, she was so shy to be photographed. She hated herself on the camera and she doesn't is she's not photogenic. Mind you, Dani is not photogenic. So it was harder to photograph Dani. Sometimes a simple girl will photograph better than Dani because Dani's first nervous me shooting her. Secondly, she's not a photo person. She'd much rather be like me behind the camera. So, I will do exactly the same with every bride. Give her the confidence. Honey, how beautiful you are, how gorgeous you are. You are amazing. Girls love compliments, give her the compliment and they will go for it, you know? It's as simple as that. There is no such thing as a bride is not as beautiful, not as a model. Every bride is beautiful, it's a matter of finding the right angle, finding the right moment and make her feel good. If someone feels good, she's gonna photograph very good. Dani's not a good model. I'm telling, I've tried her a few times for modeling and I didn't use the pictures. So, it's important that we understand this. It's so important. I attract young girls who are spending a lot of money because that's what I want to attract. I want to attract fashion meets wedding. So I attract girls who want to be out there but not one of them are models so they are real girls. That's why by creating those movements, she's forgetting that she's posing for me. If I kept Dani there for half an hour and take that picture, there were gone maybe some awful pictures there. But here she's forgetting because look at the video carefully. She doesn't have no expression, nothing is happening. But by moving her, she's forgetting the moment, and she's coming real. That's a very, I'm just realizing that now how this day worked because the video, if we didn't have the pictures, the video was boring. She didn't have no expression but this is a bubbly girl so you know, and I was capturing. I'm gonna show you a video later on, the moments, the real Dani, how I captured it. Beautiful dress, have the back of the dress, you know, those type of shoots are nice, contrasting black and white. Darken everything. Same shot with the groom in it. Close up a little bit more. Look at my ISO, it's really dark there, 1600. I'm not worried about the ISO. I love it.

I am SO grateful to CreativeLive as well as Yervant for taking the time to put on this class. So many times while sitting in this class I thought to myself "what have I been thinking?!" I have so much to learn! I loved hearing about Yervant's process for creating images, but what inspired me even more was his advice on how to view, and treat yourself as a professional. I completely agree when he said photographers are creative but we are "terrible business people." But I aim to change this in my business from this point forward, thanks to this class! Yervant's advice on how to value, protect, and sell your art is priceless. I have always valued printing and creating products clients can hold, but I don't think I understood the real emotional value in it until this class. When he pulls those images we just watched him create for the last two days, off of that printer, and they are there before our eyes, I had an emotional reaction to it. I want my clients to experience the same, so I must value it and create opportunities to educate my clients. Thanks for the kick in the pants that we all needed Yervant! And I hope this will not be the last time I get to experience your education in my life. I said this many times to other students during the class, but I will say it again here, I want to carry a mini Yervant with me every where I go! Thank you Creative Live and thank you Yervant!
