Geo Breakdown
So in this lesson, like we discussed earlier, we're gonna go a little bit deeper into the locations feature of a saved audience and show you how you can layer these. So as we discussed, like the earlier, you can do multiple locations, unlike what we're showing you under the detailed targeting section, these are all or not and for obvious reasons, right? Someone can't be in phoenix and in Mesa and in gilbert at the same time, that would obviously make no sense. So when I'm adding multiple visas, same song that's in Gilbert or Mesa or phoenix, so I can layer them, they don't have to be the same size in terms of the radius and then I can also do exclusions before I set up the city. So instead of including, I could exclude people that are in Glendale, like we've hopefully burned you guys mind by now, one of the recurring themes is there's relevancy when the target matches the content, so if I'm gonna use exclusions, I probably want the content to maybe call it that city. Hey phoenix, Hey m...
esa, we have a concert coming up. Are you interested in coming something like that or something known to the city? You can say, are you gonna be in downtown phoenix this weekend, This is going to be happening, It doesn't make a lot of sense to target otherwise. I mean, yes, perhaps if the business local and has those regions, but in general, just think whenever you're getting creative with the target, you also want at the same time, be getting creative with the content to have that relevancy and one really cool trick, we will show you guys. So if you want to do, you can also target a city or a zip code. So I could say a 5234 and pull up the zip code and same as before. When it's a zip code, it can't do a radius. It's just that zip code and I can also drop a pin. So I'm going to switch back to include now and let me zoom out so I can drop the pin anywhere. And now I've got a pin drop And that one I can't have a radius on. So what I could do is I could use exclusions, let's say here's my drop in. So I could drop multiple pins. Now I'm gonna exclude and again I'm going to drop a pin, I'm going to drop it just a little bit outside this radius and then I need to come in, Take it down to a one mile radius. So watch what happens if I do the same thing one more time, you have to do this multiple times. But again I go right outside the radius, there's my new drop in. I'm going to come down here, Take it to one mile. You're starting to see that if I wanted to, I could go around this entire circle and by doing so I could really target niche where I could target just one neighborhood Or just one school or one building basically one really small location. So if I had some event coming up or I really wanted to hit a small area and a really detailed way this would be the way to do it. So even with demographics on facebook, even with the geo targeting, you can get really specific, like we've been talking about throughout the course, if you can dream it, you can target so some fancy stuff you can do here again, this isn't gonna be your everyday strategy when it comes to targeting, but occasionally it's like, you know, using the really fancy tools, most of the tools are gonna be really basic, but occasionally you want to do something really fancy where it actually falls in line with the client's goals and objectives. So this is how you can do things like that. Again, encourage you guys to become familiar with this platform with these tools with locations and just remember again we have these four different options of everyone living everyone in the location recently and traveling in the location always make sure you have the right option selected for the goal that you're trying to accomplish. But that's how you can do location targeting and get fancy with the demographics and the next lesson. I think we're going to discuss a little bit more about connections down here and then we're also going to go over combo audiences in upcoming lessons. So let's hop over to those next lessons and finish out how to get really good at saved audiences.
