Standing out
Hi. In this video, we're going to talk a bit about cutting through the noise and standing up because I think a lot of artists in my experience, they see what other people are doing and automatically assume that they should be doing that, that they're successful because they're all doing that same thing. And that's just not the case, like genres come out of nowhere because someone actually did something differently. Ok, if you're always chasing trends, you know, you'll always be behind. So you have to think of ways that you can add kind of unique value to your music or unique value to the content that you're putting out or just a unique spin on your brand. Anything that would differentiate you from everyone else, especially if you're in the market, maybe like EDM or, or what have you. It's very, very difficult sometimes to stand out, especially if you are of the mindset where you won't do something until someone else does it first. Ok. All of your idols are your idols because they did s...
omething differently once. Ok. And then everyone, you know, kind of, everyone kind of just followed suit and then that's how a genre was made. So don't be afraid to be different, you have to be different. You know, it's a very competitive market now because the threshold's completely low. Now, like anyone technically can create music on a, on a laptop and then push it out to Spotify on the same day. OK. So you're kind of up against an everyone. So you gotta think about ways that you can differentiate yourself, not just in your music, but in your content output in general. So don't be afraid to be different and don't be afraid to make a lot of mistakes along the way as well. Some things just won't work, but that's absolutely fine. OK? Because you'll find the one thing that does and then that will be you and that will define your brand and your following. Hope that's useful and I'll see you in the next video.
