Class Overview
Hi everybody. Welcome to Lightroom CC Essential Training. I'm Mark Wallace. This class is all about the wonderful world of Light room and it's a system for importing, sorting, editing and getting your photos out to the world. It's really a wonderful piece of software. Well, this class is part of my Essential Training series. And so it's all about the workflow of photography from start to finish. And so along the way, I might mention things about Photoshop or Lightroom Classic. And if we do, I will mention also the other classes that tie into those advanced topics. Well, this class has a bunch of sample files that you can use at home. And so before we begin, I want to talk to you about that. You can go to the class page and download those workshop files and then what I've done is I've just put them right here on my desktop. Um, so you can put them wherever you want just so you know where they are and they have some photos for you to import. We have some exercises we'll be doing about HD...
R photography, adding watermarks, doing panorama, photo merges, some architectural corrections and some other things like that. And so I have some photos that you can use to go through the demos at home. So make sure you download, download those class materials so you can follow along this class is hands on. And so I definitely want you to be trying this stuff as I'm showing it to you. So you might want to pause the video and try a few things on your Light Room software and then come back and follow along. This is something that we can grow together and learn Lightroom. Okay, well now we know a little bit about this class. Let's dive in by learning about what lightroom is.

What a great class! I've started & stopped a few Lightroom classes up until now, but generally gotten bored, confused or felt I needed to step away to learn something else like Adobe Bridge first. Mark is a great instructor, engaging, specific & very clear with his explanations. I finally feel confident to play in Lightroom instead of feeling constantly overwhelmed by what I don't know!! Awesome! Thank you, Mark, you've also inspired me to dream about travelling again now the world is opening back up :)

I'm glad I bought this course. It was very basic but just what I wanted. My plan was to see if Lightroom could replace my current Lightroom Classic. Some of Lightroom functions are fantastic it looks like many of the functions I use with Lightroom Classic are just not there. So in short Mark answered many of my questions.
