we're going to get into one of my favorite segments, which is sharing to multiple platforms, because Instagram as itself is an amazing app. But the sharing power is huge. So what you do when you share to multiple platforms, you can obviously reach a wider audience. And some of you may have a much bigger audience on Facebook than you do on Instagram at this point, or even on Twitter, and it just shows that your online presence is in multiple places, and I think that's important. But as we mentioned earlier, the most important things to do, what's comfortable for you. So if you feel like Instagram should be the platform where you grow your business and that's gonna work for you and not worry about other platforms so much, that's fine. My to go to platforms outside of Instagram are definitely Facebook and Twitter, and because it's so easy to share from instagram to both of those platforms, that's where I share most of my posts. But you're gonna have to decide what's gonna work best for yo...
u. It really helps people find you. When you share to Facebook, they will see that you can go back and find them on Instagram, and I'll show you that in a little while. And the same is true on Twitter because but hyperlink, when you share from instagram to Twitter, takes you back to Instagram if you click it, and it really helps extend the engagement of your post and the life of your posts, I'm gonna show you that in a little while you can reach upto five times the engagement because there's five different platforms that you can share, too. So this is a really great opportunity to take a screenshot, share it out to Twitter and let people know that you can get so much more reach from your posts by sharing over. It's a tumbler, Facebook, twitter, instagram and foursquare. And so I want to talk about some sharing strategies. Now. I do not post every instagram over to Facebook or over two or tweet it on Twitter. It's really important to know a lot of people actually like to know that what you're sharing on Instagram is somewhat exclusive, and they'll keep coming back because they know that it's it's exclusive, and they can only find it there, especially if you're going to be doing some contest or if you're gonna. You know, if you're gonna be doing some giveaways that we talked about earlier, you might want to just keep it there. Or you might want to try to extend your reach and share it out to these other platforms. And this is just the best way that you can cross promote every post and you want when you share it out. I'm going to get on the phone right now and show you how you can share it out from the back end over to your Facebook business Page. One thing that's so cool about Instagram, especially as it relates to Facebook, is that you can choose which Facebook page to share it too. So I have multiple Facebook pages for my various businesses. So I have four different places I can share, too. So depending on the content that I'm uploading, I choose which business page I share That too. So I'm going to show you right now on the phone. Which one? How to find which one to share, too. So let's take this great illustration again that Holly did, and we're gonna scroll down now at the bottom of your posts. I call this the magic Three buttons on the right. You will see three little dots. When you click on that, it takes you to the back end where the second bar down says share photo. So now you have the choice of where you're going to share it to see all those places. I just mentioned a right there in gray. When you click on the platform, you want to share it to it. Lights up. And these are my two favorites again, Facebook and Twitter. I do have a tumbler account for one of my businesses, but what I'm not gonna share it there because we're here on Super. Zimmerman and I typically share that over to my Supes Zimmerman business page. When I'm posting personal content, that's when I share it to my personal page on Facebook. So you get to decide where you want to share it. So here's what happens when you do share it over to Facebook. You can change the text of what you wrote in the initial description. Remember when I talked about you might not necessarily want to shit share what you have on instagram over to Facebook that includes Emojis because they don't translate so well when you share over to Facebook. So I'm just gonna delete the comment that I had here and show that when you share it over it, it will just show the new description that you've posted. So, Ma, this this account automatically shares over to my suit the Zimmerman business account, and I cued it up that way. I might need to log on to my instigate alive to show you how to share it and choose a different platform, a different page to share. Teoh. Check that in a minute. But in addition to so that one went over to my Facebook page because it's cute up and I just plus chair and said, sharing succeeded. But if you have multiple pages to share from, you literally can click on which page to share it to. So for me, it's either soupy Zimmerman, my personal page supes over my business page, or I have my soupy DuPage or my soupy jewels so you can choose which page to share it to. And it and mine just automatically is programmed on this account to go too soupy. Zimmerman. So that's why we did not see those choices. But you all will when you click there and again. If you wanted to share it over to Twitter. As I said earlier, you you do not you know you have 140 characters of what you can share when you share it over to Twitter. So it makes sense to not share it with all of this text. And what I would do here is give Nicole and at mentioned and creative live and and share it over to Twitter. That way let me just get rid of those and put at creative life. So again, when I click on Twitter minds already set to share their and it will automatically go over and it will be successfully sharing. So again, I just want to say, because I didn't show you the back end with the different choices, all of my accounts would have popped up and I would have been able to choose which one to share it to. Yes, um, when you edit Thedc on tent of the description, does it edit it out of the original post? No, it does not. It edits it out on Lee for the share it. It's a really good question. Same with Twitter. So it stays. Is the original post that you did. OK, thanks. Yes, very good question. Anybody else? Yep. Um, so I was gonna ask if you are set up automatically. I think I think I'm set up automatically like you are for to go to a certain account. Um, I'm wondering, you know how you I guess put it back so that you can have the choice each time as opposed having to set it does something, which I guess is yes, you're right. Now I'm logging in as insta go live. And by the way, let me just take a step back. Since I haven't showed this yet, I think this would be a good time to show it. So when you you know, especially if people have more than one account. So what you need to do is you need to log out of one account and log in to another account, and you can log in if you have just one account using Facebook or with your registered email. But right now, most gonna log in mind. It was preset too soupy, Zimmerman, But I'm gonna go to instigate alive and quickly log in to see if I've programmed it here. This way. So now whips. So now I will be logged in. Oh, I know. Different password. See, that's the other thing. We have more than one account. You have more than one password. You did that was to put it in the notes, right? Yeah. And I should have it right there at my notes. But you're right. It should be there. I have too many on by Know it by heart. But you remembered something to you listening, and my fingers are going too fast. And that's okay. I don't know how often this happens to all the people out there, but I do this all the time or I'm having to remember what all my passwords are trying. Wait. Maybe it's that one. Maybe it's this one. I actually found a great service called Pass Pack online which actually keeps all your passwords super secure. I I have no affiliation with, aside from the fact that I use it and it actually is great and it's secure. Yeah, I've used those as well. Use one password and last past all similar keeping it all in the cloud and making it easy. Remember, one password and then you connect all exactly much easier. Yeah. So I'm actually gonna be logging into my instagram expert account because I have some I'm pretty sure we can share from there, and it will show up. Great. Any any questions from the students here now, do you guys? Oh, go ahead. I just wanted to say that for me, that was like an incredible tip, because I I've been so frustrated with the fact that, like, you can post to instagram. But then when you do it to Twitter or Facebook, the emojis get messed up. Or like, that's not right. So I didn't know if you went in and you could change the description in a one. It changed your riddle Instagram description. So I thought that was great. And then, sir, I think you mentioned the gun the first day. You've made some comment, like after six hours of being on Instagram. Then you can go in and post to Facebook and Twitter. Yes, I'm going to talk about that later. But I do know when my post the engagement dies down, so I know when to refresh it or went toe. You know, we fresh with Hashtags, right? I know when to repost it. Yes, so that's a great question. I just have a question. You know how you can post to both. Um, well, you can post a twitter. You can let let your instagram post Twitter. I have my Twitter posting to Facebook. So I'm getting or my Facebook posting a Twitter, some getting double on my twitter. Do you know a way around that? Because I want my Facebook to go to Twitter and it's in your settings You need to be. You need to toggle and stop doing that. Okay? Now I'm eager to hear more from the students about your issue with passwords, and you guys use something like one password or last passed something to keep track, because when you have all these different accounts, it gets very confusing. Does anybody have any experiences with that? It's not just a girl thing. It's not a girl. No, I mean, it's just living in the digital world now. We have so many accounts, were constantly logging into things, and it's hard to keep track. So I'm curious to know last passes Amazing to change my life. I spent ah, hold like Saturday setting it up. And it was really frustrating because I have so many accounts, but it was so worth it. I'm gonna walk it through with another post. Okay? This is my lovely daughter who just graduated college, and I'm going to try to share this over. Remember, if you scroll down, there's those magic three dots, takes you to the back end and you can share the photo second bar down. And I want to share it over to Facebook and again because I'm on may soon be Zimmerman account. It succeeded because its program to go right to my personal account off of this account. And if I wanted to share it to my business account, that would be a different setting that I would change it to. So once you've once you've programmed it to logged in and shared it, Teoh, your personal account or any of your, um your business accounts and I have many you would have the choice to choose which one you pick and again, that's all in the bonus illustrated so that you know exactly how to get there and find it. So if I were to open up Facebook right now, that post would be there. And once it's there, um, you can tag the photo and get more reach. And I'm gonna show you how to do that in the flight deck. So you know, again, I think when you know that you can now post on instagram, keep it there if you want to. If you want to make it exclusive or if you want to share it over toe other platforms decide which one to share it. Teoh, I don't recommend posting to Instagram and immediately sharing it out to Facebook and Twitter at the same time. If you're gonna share it out to another platform, I would wait some time. I do know that Shar who I mentioned earlier the blogger who had over 100,000 views She knows exactly what time of day to share it to Facebook based on when the teenagers are on instagram and based on when the moms on Instagram. So first thing in the morning before they go to school and at the end of the afternoon is when she shares over to Facebook and she wants to capture the mothers when they've gone to school and after the kids have gone to bed. So you will You will see how you can. You know what time of day works best for you, And I'm gonna be talking more about the way that you can find that information later today. So this is an example of a post that started an instagram. So this was me last summer. This is the back of my store when you walk in my super do sign. And I wasn't yet opened, but we were gonna I announced that I was just starting the season in my instagram posts. So I know that after six hours of posting to instagram that I get more engagement on Facebook. So I shared this over to my personal account Soupy Zimmerman. Um, I shared it there because at the time, you know, I have a lot more followers on Instagram on Facebook on that account than I do on my soup is simmering. So I just wanted to reach more people, and I mostly have friends and extensions of friends on my personal page. So I shared it over to Facebook and the engagement continues. So if you if you look carefully under my name where it says May 22nd it says view on Instagram and if you literally press that button, it would take you back to Instagram to view it there. Now, what that does is there are a lot of people on Facebook who are not yet on instagram, but they might be curious, like view on Instagram. I'm not even on Instagram. Let me see what that's all about. So they might click it and it might convince them t um you know, create an account and sign up for instagram. And what's really cool is on your notifications, which is the second button from the rights when you get you notifications. When one of your Facebook friends starts following you on instagram, you get a notification that says your friend Nicole Tate just joined Instagram. And so when that happens and you notification, I recommend at least going in there, especially if they're a friend of yours on Facebook and engaging in following because you're just gonna stay top of mind that much more. You already have a relationship with them on Facebook. So what happened here after I posted is I got more likes and again likes air Good. I love comments. I love seeing all of the comments and I got up to comments or there's six here. But it says view, there's six more that you can't see because on Facebook you don't see all the comments. So, you know, just to read a few of these off, I'm dying to get there to treat myself to a vacation. I can't wait to see you. Maybe I want to see you on the cape. I need a bracelet. I like reading that. I need a bracelet. So this is just another place toe share out to, and I do it frequently with my suit. Be due account because I do know that a lot of my customers are absolutely on Facebook and they're not necessarily yet on Instagram. My younger customers are all on its grim, but the moms most likely or more on Facebook, so I know strategically went to share it there. OK, so this is Facebook, and, you know, I just want you to know that it's a really great way again. Toe stay top of mind to reach your fans and we're on Facebook lately of I've had some challenges getting engagement on Facebook. But when I do share from Instagram, I get great engagement, and the other place that you can share from is Twitter, as I mentioned earlier. So the most important thing to remember here is when you share over to Twitter is to not assume that the at mentioned is the same on Twitter that it is on instagram, meaning the handle name. So a lot of you have already shared with me. You've changed your name. You're trying to match it up toe to Twitter. That, in my opinion, is the best strategy, because often people do like to share their instagram post over to Twitter. And it's just important if you're going to do that, to check to make sure that it's the right at mentioned. And the way that I've been doing that lately is searching for the websites because so many people now have their social share buttons on their website. So it or they should. If they don't and when you go to their website, you can easily see their Instagram icon and click on it and your Twitter icon and click on it to make sure it is the lines up with their instagram on you ready with a questionable. So then, when you go to share to Twitter, you would delete your comments or whatever and then would you hash tag their Twitter handles so that they see it? There's a couple different strategies. So, as I said earlier, I recommend at most having to hash tags. If you're gonna be tweeting your instagram post. When you use a hashtag, it becomes part of that conversation you curate content within the hashtag. So if your strategy is to be a part of that whole conversation, I would keep the HASHTAG. If you want the user to get a notification that you're mentioning them, they will on Twitter. So if you at mentioned creativelive, they would get a notification that you tweeted and sometimes they would reach. We re treat retweet the treat, and if you wanted to be a part of the conversation, the HASHTAG would take you into the whole conversation. So when you search the hashtag on instagram, as you all should know by now, you were going to start to see the visual content that's being curated from everyone in this community, and the same is true on Twitter. You can become part of the conversation there with the same hashtag. It's pretty exciting just in. My producers said that there were some crazy, like 47 1000 tweets are views with the hash tag and stick out live since we started. So yeah, so it's pretty cool. That's going, you know, we're reaching Twitter as well. And there's a lot of people that really like to be on Twitter. And, you know, I often get asked, Why should I be on Twitter and not Instagram? You can also look a photo albums on Twitter, and you can also see images there, and some people just prefer to be there. I personally love that. When you go to Instagram again, it's the happy place that you can just scroll back and feel like you're in someone's photo album on its chronologically posted. It's really clean urine, this happy place, and it really works well. So it all depends on what's gonna work for you, especially if time is an issue and you don't feel like you can commit to more than just instagram. I know that all of you here in the live audience. And I'm sure many of you listening are convinced that instagram is the right place to bay for your business. But I recommend sharing it out to multiple platforms. And if you struggle with what content to share, you can always share your instagram post.

I tuned in to the live stream from Cork Ireland a few days ago. It was late into the evening GMT. What I noticed was infectious enthusiasm laced with fun and instructional support. Without so much as a glass of water to rehydrate her @suebzimmerman went storming from one success to another. She was so sharp, empathetic & strong in her own skin - just the kind of guide you'd be proud to have.Every day I urge another person to check her out - because, for a business person who wants to become loved on line, she is the ideal coach. I've tuned in to many people on line - many who project an image of being wonderful - SueB delivers. Together with @artisancheesecompany, she "rocks" as you say in North America.Thank you for all the help you've given me and my company @changeagentsbranding. PS I've never met SueB - I simply love her ethos on Instagram. Paul O'Mahony @omaniblog
