Action - Create Your Barebones Product Listing
in this video we're going to create the bare bones listing for your amazon product. And the reason why we're doing this is we want to get your products up on amazon. And that way we can select an amazon warehouse and have your suppliers start shipping your product straight to that warehouse. And the quickest way to do this is to create a bare bones listing. And what that means is you're creating a listing but you're filling out the least amount of information that you need to at this point in time. And that way as soon as you create your bare bones listing you can go ahead and place your order with your supplier and then while that order is being shipped from your supplier to amazon then you can take more time to fill out and complete your amazon listing. So for now you entered your product category in the last video and you're ready to start filling out this vital info. And the product I. D. Is where you're gonna put your you pc. Or barcode number to do this. You're gonna want to clic...
k on the dropdown menu and select you Pc. And here you're gonna want to pace in your U. P. C. Code and I have typed mine up up here. Now here it's reminding you that your U. P. C. Barcode should be from the GS. One and if it's not there's a chance that they're going to remove your product listing. So I'm gonna click got it and for the rest of this I'm gonna open up our pdf cheat sheet number seven create your bare bones listing. And for here I'm gonna mark yes we entered our product I. D. U. P. C. Number and out of everything we're going to be typing in here. This is the only thing that cannot be changed later. Once you save your U. P. C. Code to this product listing that's it. That can't be edited. But your product name, your brand name and your manufacturer can all be edited in the future. So for now I'm going to type in double dog leash as the product name for the brand name. I'm going to put happy pup dog leashes but I probably will change that in the future. And for the manufacturer you can just put the same as the brand name. So now I'm gonna put you entered a good brand name, it's good enough for now. You can change it later and I entered a manufacturer name. So next up are variations and this is if you wanted to add different sizes or different colors to your product. So if you did you can start by creating a variation theme. So let's say you wanted to do color and then you could fill out the rest of this information to add different colors. In our case we're just selling one product with no variations. So I'm just gonna leave that how it is and I'm going to click no did not come up with a variation theme. Did not add variations and for the offer, this is where you put your price, your quantity in your condition. We can just mark the box and say, let me skip this and add it later. And finally, for images we can skip this section. And the last thing it's asking for is a quick product description. So I'm gonna say this double dog leash comes in black and red and is great. You want to walk two dogs at once. Now, obviously I'm gonna be changing that description in the future, but this is just a placeholder description. Now, I'm gonna click save and finish and that's it. So now we've created our listing officially on amazon, pause this video now and go create your bare bones amazon product listing.
